This notice explains how Setfolios handles personal information across accounts, public setfolios, projects, applications, invitations, messages, payments, notifications, support, security, analytics, and editorial operations.

Most information comes directly from members. Setfolios also receives transaction and tax information from payment providers; authentication and storage events from account and data-service providers; delivery events from communications providers; hosting, request, and aggregate performance information from infrastructure providers; and information from public websites or publisher feeds used by the separate Setfolios News editorial workflow.
Published setfolio fields, profile media, project posts, role details, optional preferences about adult nudity in professional work, and credited team participation can be visible on the public internet and indexed by search engines. The adult-nudity preference is optional, can be left as Not specified, and only shows whether someone is open to discussing relevant roles; it is never consent to a particular project, scene, image, recording, or use. Applications, invitations, project workspaces, and messages are limited to eligible participants under platform permissions. Members should not publish sensitive personal information that is unnecessary for professional discovery.
Setfolios uses authorised processors and infrastructure providers for account authentication, data hosting and storage, access controls, platform delivery and security, request logs, checkout, subscriptions, invoices, tax calculation, fraud prevention, transactional communications, and the News editorial-assistance workflow. Information is shared only as needed for those services, to comply with law, protect people or the platform, investigate abuse, complete a corporate transaction, or when a member directs the disclosure. Setfolios does not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
Providers and users may process information outside the country where it was collected, including in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and United States. Where EU, EEA, or UK transfer rules apply, Setfolios relies on an adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as approved standard contractual clauses and supplementary measures, as applicable. Copies or further information may be requested using the contact address above.
Account and collaboration information is generally retained while an account is active. When a member deletes an account through Account Settings, public profile content and profile media are removed, owned projects are archived, and retained shared collaboration records are anonymised. Security and operational logs are kept only for a proportionate troubleshooting and fraud-prevention period. Billing, tax, contractual, moderation, dispute, and legal records are retained for the periods required by applicable law or necessary to establish, exercise, or defend claims. Backups rotate on a limited schedule and are not used for ordinary product access.
Depending on location and the applicable law, individuals may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or a copy of personal information; object to certain processing; withdraw consent; or appeal a privacy decision.
People in the EU, EEA, and UK may also complain to their local supervisory authority. In Spain this is the AEPD, and in the UK it is the ICO.
People in Mexico may exercise access, rectification, cancellation, and opposition rights (ARCO), withdraw consent where applicable, and limit use or disclosure.
Residents of US states with applicable privacy laws may request the rights available in their state, including access, correction, deletion, and portability. Because Setfolios does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioural advertising, there is no sale or targeted-advertising opt-out to exercise at launch. Setfolios will not discriminate against anyone for exercising an applicable privacy right.
Members can delete their account directly in Account Settings. That action is permanent, cancels active subscription renewals, removes public profile content, archives owned projects, and anonymises retained shared records. It does not block the email address from being used to create a new account later, but the deleted account cannot be restored. Other privacy requests may be sent to support@setfolios.com. Setfolios may verify identity and authority before responding.
Setfolios uses rules and editorial-assistance tools to rank News leads, flag editorial risk, detect duplicate content, enforce access permissions, and support security. These tools do not make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on members. News publication and account moderation require authorised human decisions.
Setfolios uses authentication, access controls, encrypted connections, provider security measures, transaction verification, and audit logging. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Members should protect their credentials and report suspected misuse promptly.
Setfolios is a professional collaboration service intended for people who are at least 18 years old. It is not directed to children, and Setfolios does not knowingly create accounts for children. If a parent or guardian believes a child supplied personal information, they should contact Setfolios so it can be reviewed and removed where appropriate.
Material changes will be posted here with a new effective date and, when appropriate, communicated through the account or by email. Earlier versions may be retained for compliance and dispute records.
