Setfolios FAQ

Setfolios is for film and editorial creatives on both sides of a project. Creatives can present their work, discover roles, apply, and receive invitations. Directors, producers, photographers, studios, and other project leads can publish a brief, find collaborators, review applicants, assemble a team, and keep the resulting conversations attached to the project.

A setfolio is your public creative profile on Setfolios. It brings together your role, location, experience, availability, profile media, and external portfolio or reel links so collaborators can understand where you fit before contacting or inviting you.

You can create a setfolio, browse and save projects, discover creatives, receive project invitations, and send two project applications each week. You only pay when you want a larger application allowance, an extra application, or to publish projects outside an eligible launch offer.

Momentum costs €5 per month and increases your weekly application allowance from two to four. One extra application costs €5 and remains available until used. Project owners can pay €10 for one project post, choose Pro Poster for €24 per month with three project-post credits each billing month, or choose Studio for €59 per month with ten credits each billing month. Prices exclude applicable taxes. Where Setfolios is required to collect tax, it is calculated at checkout from your billing location.

The allowance is designed to encourage considered, role-specific applications rather than high-volume submissions. Free accounts receive two applications each week and Momentum members receive four. The weekly allowance resets every Monday; a separately purchased extra application remains available until you use it.

Yes. A project owner can invite you to apply for a specific open role. That points you to the brief and preselects the role, but it does not add you to the team. You decide whether to apply, and you only become a team member later if the owner sends an offer and you explicitly accept it.

Messaging stays project-based. A project owner can start a private conversation with an applicant during review. Whole Team chat and project-member conversations become available after the applicant explicitly accepts a project offer.

They become a confirmed member of the project team and the project appears in Participating In. The team can then use the project workspace for shared updates, direct conversations, references, and message attachments. Being shortlisted or invited to apply never creates team membership by itself.

Yes. Projects can be posted in any validated city worldwide. The founding launch offer currently covers Spain: Madrid and Barcelona; United Kingdom: London; Mexico: Mexico City and Guadalajara; United States: Los Angeles and New York and Atlanta; Italy: Milan and Rome. Standard project-posting pricing applies outside those cities or after the offer is no longer available.

No. Public project discovery and applications close when the shoot begins. Setfolios marks an active project as completed at that point so expired opportunities do not continue collecting applications. The owner can still access the project management history and team workspace.

Cancelling Momentum, Pro Poster, or Studio stops the next renewal. The plan remains active until the end of the current paid billing period. Project-post credits and application allowances continue to follow the active plan until that date, after which the account returns to its non-member allowance.

Setfolios does not ordinarily provide discretionary refunds after a paid service or credit has been delivered or used. Mandatory consumer rights still apply, including any withdrawal or remedy required under Spanish or European Union law.
